QI MEN DUN JIA · ONLINE CHART

“Do I take this offer, or turn it down?”

“Is this relationship worth carrying on?”

“Do I stay in this city, or start over?”

Three different questions with one thing in common: you have turned each of them over for days without arriving at a settled answer, and everyone you consulted handed the decision back to you. QimenIt reads the situation as it stands when you ask, then gives you one clear direction, with the reasoning behind it.

The nine-palace chart cast for this question

How chart signals become a clear judgement

Not a description of mood, and not a personality profile: every judgement traces back to a specific relation on the chart.
The two pairs below come from QimenIt's own interpretation rules. Same question; reverse the chart relationship, and the judgement reverses with it.

Taking an offer
The Horse Star is active, and your Day Stem palace controls the Open Door palace
This move is yours to lead. Favorable to act.
The Open Door palace supports your Day Stem palace, yet no Horse Star appears
Your present post already suits you. Not a time to move lightly.
Entering a partnership
Your Day Stem palace controls the Hour Stem palace
The division of gains leans to your side.
The Hour Stem palace controls your Day Stem palace
The other side sets the terms. This chart runs against you.

You are not asked to read the signals. They are identified for you, and what you receive is the conclusion.

Every verdict carries its grounds

One actual analysis, shown as it was delivered: the conclusion first, the chart evidence set out after it.

A man was planning to move abroad and start over there. The capital was ready, the plan was ready, and he fully intended to go through with it. What he wanted judged was the timing: was this the hour to set out?

A decision chart fixes two indicators first: the day stem stands for him, the hour stem for the move itself. Everything that follows comes from where those two palaces sit, and how they relate.

His own palace was strong. The day stem sat with the Leader and the Life Door, a position of real force on this board: firm footing, resources in hand. On that count he had what the move required. The chart never took issue with the man himself.

The palace of the matter was clouded. The hour stem sat with the Black Tortoise, which governs concealment and unreliable information; the same palace formed a wealth-draining structure, resources going out and none returning. The reading was blunt here:

Where money is involved in this, verify all of it, take nothing at face value.Quoted from the analysis, translated verbatim

On timing the chart gave one word: wait. A key indicator fell into Void: external conditions had not yet formed, and any cooperation or agreement was arriving too early.

Could he make the move happen? The chart showed he had the means. Were the conditions favorable to do it now? No.
Taken together, the three palaces pointed in two different directions.

He read it, weighed it, and went anyway, for reasons of his own. The analysis did not decide for him and could not have stopped him. What it did was set out the shape of the thing before he moved, while he still had the choice.

What an analysis starts with

Date of birth
Used to take the year destiny, the stem of your birth year.
Gender
Sets where the other party falls in the chart, and is written into every reading as the querent's own standing. That is why it is required, not only when the question is about a relationship.
Time of the chart
The moment you ask is the moment the chart is cast. When a question first takes shape, what you are asking is at its sharpest, and the chart is closest to where the matter actually stands.
Hour of birth
Optional. The standard reading does not draw on it. Supplying it adds one further reference point between the year destiny and the rest of the chart.
City
Optional. Once given, the time is corrected by longitude to true solar time.

The question is set by choosing one of nine categories and then one specific direction within it, rather than by free text. Only once the range is closed can the indicators taken from the chart and the structure of the analysis correspond one to one. For how the chart itself is cast, see How Qimen Charts Are Built.

Date of birth and gender serve this chart and its analysis only. How the data is stored and deleted is set out in the privacy policy.

The chart sets the structure, the AI supplies the explanation

The chart is not generated by a language model. It is computed under the fixed rules of Hour-based Qimen, with Door Pressure, Punishment Clash, Entombment and Void marked palace by palace, and the AI writes only on top of facts that are already fixed.

A few things to know before you start

What kinds of questions suit this analysis

Concrete matters that are live right now and call for a choice: whether to take this job, whether to put money into this, whether to stay in this relationship.
A question too broad to settle on a single chart does not suit it.

How many matters can one reading cover

One core question at a time works best. Different decisions turn on different indicators, so separating them usually produces a clearer reading.

What if no option matches my situation exactly

Choose the direction closest to what you actually need judged. The categories exist to fix the structure this analysis will follow; your situation need not match the wording word for word.

Can I ask the same question again

If nothing about the matter has changed, repeating the analysis within a short period is not advised. Once conditions, information or the situation itself have materially shifted, a fresh reading carries weight again.

Do I need to understand Qi Men Dun Jia to read the result

No. The key relations in the chart are rendered as analysis you can read directly, so no study of the terms or of the casting method is required. If you would like to check the chart yourself, see How to Read a Qimen Chart.

Does leaving out my hour of birth affect the result

It does not. The standard reading does not draw on the hour of birth, and the field is optional.

Am I meant to follow what the analysis says

No. The analysis reads the conditions, the resistance and the favorable factors as they stand, to add to what you already know. The decision remains yours.

Those inside the matter cannot see it whole. What is missing is not further thought, but a vantage point outside your own.
