Career charts pit you against circumstances; relationship charts place two people on the same grid and read the space between them. That makes the first step non-negotiable: before judging anything, you must know which symbols carry you, which carry them, and which carry the bond itself.

The grammar is the same relational reading used everywhere in Qimen: how does your palace treat theirs, and theirs treat yours? Mutual generation reads as energy flowing both ways. One-way generation reads as one person carrying the relationship. Mutual control reads as friction built into the frame, workable but never free.

How Relationship Charts Are Judged感情盘怎么断
Classical Qimen lays out a precise judgment sequence for love and marriage charts. Once you see the skeleton, every scenario below becomes a special case of the same logic:
古典奇门为感情婚姻盘有一套精确的断局顺序。看清骨架之后，下面每种场景都不过是同一套逻辑的特例：
The core judgment. In relationship charts, tradition reads Yi for the woman's side and Geng for the man's side. If their two palaces generate each other or match in element, and the chart carries auspicious doors and formations, the relationship can succeed and the marriage will be happy. If the two palaces clash or control each other, the match is difficult, or the couple will struggle.
核心断法。感情盘中，传统以乙为女方、庚为男方。二者落宫相生或比和，又逢吉门吉格，则恋爱可成、婚姻美满。两宫相冲相克，则婚事难成，或夫妻关系不好。
The matchmaker. The Six Harmony deity plays a specific role in relationship charts: it represents the go-between, the matchmaker, the mutual friend, or the mediator. Its bias reveals which side it favors: if Six Harmony's palace generates the woman's palace (Yi), the mediator leans toward her. If it generates the man's palace (Geng), the mediator leans toward him.

Reading people from the chart. Each person's palace is a portrait. The doors, stars, deities and formations that accompany Yi reveal the woman's character, appearance, physique and career. The same layers around Geng reveal the man's. This is how a classical practitioner could describe a person they had never met. The chart draws their outline.

For married couples. Once married, the spouse can also be read through the combining stem, the heavenly stem that pairs with your day stem in the classical combination system (Jia-Ji, Yi-Geng, Bing-Xin, Ding-Ren, Wu-Gui). The relationship between these two palaces shows the state of the marriage. For major life decisions like divorce or remarriage, classical texts also check both partners' year fate (年命) palaces for a fuller picture.

Classical texts assign specific symbols to third parties: Ding represents a woman intruding on the relationship; Bing represents a man. If either appears prominently , especially near the marriage stems or the Harmony , it signals an outside presence in the picture.

Reconciliation charts have one extra trap: the chart must distinguish renewal from entanglement. The deity Serpent marks exactly that difference: attachment that coils rather than connects.

Scenario: Marriage & Long-Term Commitment场景：婚姻与长期承诺
Commitment questions activate the oldest layer of relationship reading: the marriage stems. Classical texts read Yi for the wife's side and Geng for the husband's, and the Yi–Geng combination, the two stems meeting, is the chart's traditional image of a workable match. Modern readers apply the same two-stem logic to any committed pair.

What Qimen Won't Tell You奇门不会告诉你的
An honest limit, stated plainly: a relationship chart reads the conditions between two people at this hour: receptivity, concealment, momentum, timing. It does not measure anyone's worth, it cannot read the other person's heart, and it does not replace the conversation you may be avoiding. A hard chart in March is not a verdict on a person; it is a weather report on a bond, and weather changes because people change.
