One honest thing before the flags. Qimen won't hand you a guarantee. What it will read is two things you care about: whether the venture pays, and whether now is the time to move or better to hold. Both come from a single chart, from how the doors and money stems generate or control one another. Think of it as reading the soil and the season. It tells you the odds; watering the seed is still on you.

A launch turns on two doors, not one. The Open Door frames the venture; classical texts say “the Open Door is greatly auspicious, favorable for opening a business, trade and enterprise.” The Life Door is its cash. Add Wu for the capital and your Day Stem for yourself, and you have the four symbols a launch chart lives or dies by.

Green doors tell you the venture is viable. Whether it actually returns money is a separate, sharper test, and the one we always run second: the relationship between Wu (capital) and the Life Door palace (profit). Classical Qimen lays out four outcomes by their generation-and-control:

This is the layer a yes/no answer skips entirely. A healthy Open Door only tells you the venture is viable; whether it returns money turns on how Life Door and Wu relate. When Life Door generates Wu, returns compound. When Life Door controls Wu, capital bleeds out. The door can say “go” either way; the money says the opposite.

When the Verdict Is “Hold”当结论是"宜缓"
Not every reading lands on “go” or “don't.” The third verdict is hold (宜缓): the idea isn't wrong, the conditions simply aren't ripe. The chart shows where the gap sits, such as an emptiness (Void) on Life Door that only settles once its branch is filled, which tells you what to wait for and what to build in the meantime. That is a verdict in its own right, and a different instruction from stop (宜止), where the road ahead is genuinely poor and stepping back is the prudent move. Reading the two as one is how a workable venture gets abandoned, or a doomed one gets funded.

Qimen answers “when.” If your real question is whether you are built to be a founder at all, a lifelong-pattern question, that is where BaZi (八字), your birth chart, reads whether wealth and enterprise sit in your life structure to begin with.
